West Sussex county councillors met at the Annual Meeting of Full Council on Friday 16 May.
Councillor Pieter Montyn was re-elected as Chairman of the Council and Councillor Elizabeth Sparkes re-elected as Vice-Chairman. Councillor Paul Marshall was re-elected as Leader of the Council.
The Leader confirmed the Cabinet as follows:
- Cllr Amanda Jupp - Adults Services
- Cllr Jacquie Russell - Children, Young People and Learning (Lead Member for Children)
- Cllr Duncan Crow – Community Support, Fire and Rescue
- Cllr Garry Wall – Economy and Skills
- Cllr Deborah Urquhart – Environment and Climate Change (Deputy Leader)
- Cllr Jeremy Hunt – Finance and Property
- Cllr Joy Dennis – Highways and Transport
- Cllr Bob Lanzer – Public Health and Wellbeing
- Cllr Steve Waight – Support Services and Local Government Reorganisation.
Cllr Garry Wall’s new appointment to the Cabinet was announced on 7 May.
Cllr Jackie Pendleton (Armed Forces Champion) and Cllr Keir Greenway (Flood Risk Management) were also confirmed as advisers to the Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment and Climate Change respectively.
